The organ, built in 1963, was originally built for the Conservatoire in Sion. As a teaching instrument with 24 stops distributed over three manuals and pedal, the instrument was intended to be able to play as wide a repertoire as possible. After the closure of the Conservatoire, the organ was not used for several years.

Thanks to the initiative of François Roten, pastor of the Catholic Church in Bramois, the organ was awakened from its slumber after 20 years, completely dismantled and rebuilt in the Catholic Church of Bramois. In the course of this move, the organ was not only undertaken an overall cleaning and inspection, but also received, in addition to some tonal enhancements, a new mobile console with a sequencer as well as a new «dress» in wonderful blue and gold.

Our thanks go to the tireless efforts of François Roten who made this project possible and we are delighted with this successful final result in the Catholic Church of Bramois.
