Welcome to the Steinmeyer organ and its sounds - a presentation by Gunter Böhme with organist Magne Draagen

7.15 p.m.
Michael G. Kaufmann: "Why have 139 stops?"
A specialist talk on the origin and purpose of great organs, their situation prior to the 2nd world war and organ literature dating from that period.

7.45 p.m.
A look at the organs, and demonstrations in three groups:
a) lower case, chamber for the wind system, echo organ (illustrations)
b) great organ, pedal and solo
c) console of the main organ and console of the chancel organ
 
9.15 p.m.
The Steinmeyer organ can be played by registered participants. Kuhn Organ Builders personnel will be pleased to help you with any questions. Depending on the number of participants, the organ will be available non-stop until the following morning. Coffee bar with snacks.
