For many years, Kuhn Organ Builders Ltd has supported artists who have designed our Christmas cards. We have now decided to implement this partnership in a different form. We refrain from printing cards and use the money thus saved to support musicians, preferably of course on the organ.
This is how we came across a program of the monastery in SAINT-MAURICE. Taking the upcoming maintenance and extension of the Kuhn organ as an occasion, the monastery is creating a musical program called "Nouvelles Resonances". The aim of the program is to enable young artists either to receive musical training or to embark on a musical career. More details about the program can be found here.
At Kuhn Organ Builders Ltd, a year that started with some difficulties is eventually coming to an encouraging end. We look forward to building a new pipe organ in the old case in Wettelbrunn in 2023, followed by two wonderful projects in Kaiserslautern and Messkirch.
A special highlight of 2022 was the celebration of the handover of the business in the church "Auf der Egg" as well as in the Tonhalle Zurich, where we were able to welcome about 400 guests. Dieter Utz, owner of Kuhn Organ Builders Ltd for many years, officially handed over the business to the new management team. It was a wonderful event with beautiful music and interesting conversations that we will keep in our memories extremely positively.
