Organ Music for Easter 2020

Wolfgang Sieber and Tobias Willi play on Kuhn Organs

This year, Easter has to take place in intimate circumstances. Therefore, the organists Wolfgang Sieber and Tobias Willi realised musical Easter greetings you can listen to and watch at home. We are happy to present an online premiere of a Work by Wolfgang Sieber and pieces by Herbert Howells and Charles-Marie Widor referring to Passion and Easter.

Together with Lukas Christinat and Gabriel Sieber, Wolfgang Sieber interprets his new work GeKa (2019) for two horns and organ. This world premiere was recorded at the organ of the Lucerne Hofkirche and was published online on April 9, 2020.

Tobias Willi plays the historical Kuhn organ dating from 1931 at the Guthirtkirche in Zurich. His programme comprises the Prelude on Psalm 23,4 by Herbert Howells and the second and fourth movement of Charles-Marie Widor's Symphonie romane.
