Michael Meyer –
A passion for organ building and organ culture
Michael Meyer studied musicology and history at the University of Zurich and organ at Zurich University of the Arts. As a historian he has been doing research on different topics in organology, for example as co-author of the history of Kuhn Organ Builders Ltd. which appeared in 2014 to mark our 150th jubilee year.
From an early age he felt great passion for the organ. Following ten years in university environment, he is now looking forward to the opportunity of working within the organ culture, and, what is more, in a company where the intertwining of practice and science is cultivated intensely. He regards as particularly vital the continuation of organ building as a traditional craft industry of the western world.
